Volunteer With The FMSPCA

Help us make a difference.

At the Fort McMurray SPCA, we believe that each volunteer who helps at the shelter, fostering, fundraising, transporting, walking dogs, as a corporate group and the myriad of other jobs we need done, makes a huge difference in the life of our rescued animals. Our volunteers spend thousands of hours a year helping to maintain operations so that we can continue to help more needy and homeless animals. We could not do what we do without the hundreds of people who volunteer – whether you volunteer an hour a week or three hours a day, at an event or with your company, everyone is needed.

Become a Volunteer

The act of volunteering is a selfless one, allowing us to gain new skills, new friends, and a new perspective. It has been said that volunteering is not for the faint of heart. It requires dedication, reliability, learning and commitment. When you volunteer, you give part of yourself, your time, your energy and your skills. It can be a onetime event or become a lifetime activity.

Become a member

Did you know that the FMSPCA is a Not for Profit Society? That means that we need members to keep it running. The Board and Membership make things happen and drive the organization to the goals and philosophies that are important to you. Become a part of our team and speak for those who have no voice of their own.
