Fort McMurray SPCA Announces Shelter is Temporarily Closed as Animals Recover

In Upcoming Event by FMSPCA Admin Assistant

The Fort McMurray SPCA has announced its Shelter at 155 MacAlpine Crescent will be temporarily closed starting today, Thursday, February 8, 2018 until further notice. Recent animals taken into care are being treated by our Veterinary Staff for a virus and the temporary closure allows the animals to recuperate and prevents exposure to visitors. It is expected that the shelter will be able to reopen to the public later next week after final assessment by our Veterinary Staff.
Until the Shelter reopens, no volunteers, animal viewing or dog walking will be available to the public. The FMSPCA will announce when it is able to reopen and welcome volunteers and the public back to the Shelter.
We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for understanding.
We hope to see everyone soon!
