The FMSPCA have a number of programs we use to help the animal companions in our community.​

9 Lives Program​

Seniors for Seniors Pet Companionship Program. The 9 Lives Program aims to provide companionship for local seniors in our region.

Animal Safe Haven Program​

Providing a temporary home for animals of families fleeing abusive and violent situations; victims of crime; individuals facing homelessness; or those for physical or mental health reasons, are unable to care while hospitalized.

Cat Yoga Program​

You bring your mat, we supply the cats! Join our volunteer yogis for an hour of relaxation in our feline adoption room.

Northern Animal Management & Education program

The FMSPCA’s ground breaking program addresses companion animal overpopulation resulting in safety concerns and unrest amongst local residents.​

Book Buddies Program​

A reading to shelter pets program. Children of all reading levels are invited to practice their literacy skills in our adoption rooms.

Pet Food Bank

Supports community members with pet food for their companion animals in order to assist families and individuals in caring for their pets during difficulties.

Animal Safety & Awareness Program

Humane education approach to teaching that inspires kindness to both animals and people.
